Healthy Homes Where We Grow, Develop Every Day
Definition and Characteristics Of A Healthy Home
A healthy house must have adequate facilities, then the location and
location must also be strategic so that humans can live in society, socialize,
and assimilate with their environment. According to WHO, a healthy house has a
good physical structure for the physical and spiritual health of a family or
individual. besides that the house must also meet minimum criteria such as
access to drinking water, healthy latrines, flooring, ventilation, and
sufficient lighting. So a healthy home is a house that is free from
environmental pollution and free from disease factors.
Healthy Home Criteria
-Air Ventilation
The criterion for a healthy home is to have adequate air ventilation. Air
ventilation is very important to maintain oxygen levels in the house while
maintaining the humidity of the house. The air that enters the house can be
maximized with a cross ventilation system.
-Lighting
Good lighting will also reduce high humidity levels. With a house design
that has sufficient lighting, the house will be prone to germs
-Floors and Building Materials
A floor with minimal water absorption (which uses materials that are
water-resistant and easy to clean) is a condition for a healthy home.
-Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation
The need for clean water for each person is at least 60 liters per day.
Water quality must meet health requirements in accordance with applicable
regulations.

not pollute the soil and groundwater and does not smell.A good septic tank has
standards according to SNI (2398: 17):
